TO LEARN HOW TO PRAY
Oh Lord, you selected the poor and simple people to be your Apostles. Look upon your poor servant kneeling before you now. I recognize that I am simple and poor, too. Dear Lord, please, teach me how to pray as you taught our disciples upon their humble request. If it pleases you in your goodness to grant me that grace, I shall be able to pray well, and much better that I could ever hope for left to my own efforts. Lord I trust that you will bless me with the fulfillment of this request.
FOR LOVE OF OTHER AND OF SELF
Implant charity in my heart, so that one day I may join the beautiful Communion of Saints, that true community of charity, triumphant with you in heaven.
FOR THE SPIRIT OF SIMPLICITY
O divine Savior, you came into this world to preach your Gospel in delightful simplicity. I humbly ask you to let me learn from your example. Make me acquire your spirit of simplicity and by your grace spread it around, in a simple and direct manner, for the spiritual well-being of others so that I may thus promulgate your word, disseminating it throughout my surroundings as your good and faithful servant to whom, in your kindness, you have entrusted it.

O my dear Savior, pour out your spirit of simplicity into my heart so that I may hope to be your true apostle by always fully cooperating with your grace.
